Hat-Trick for Coolring
Progressive Sebring gelding Coolring made it three metropolitan wins in a row when scoring at Rosehill on Saturday for the Bjorn Baker stable.
The dashing grey posted a tenacious half neck win for James McDonald in his first try at 1500 metres, his overall record now five wins and five seconds from 16 starts with prizemoney nearing $270,000.
Passed in at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, Coolring was retained to race and is the second foal of former brilliant sprinter Coolroom Candidate, who won nine races with prizemoney topping $447,000 with highlight wins in the Group II AJC Sapphire Stakes and Group III STC Research Stakes.
