Another Win for Dayita
Taking out the open event over 2040 metres at Moonee Valley on Saturday was the talented Peter Moody trained mare Dayita, an $80,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the draft of Widden Stud.
A daughter of champion Queensland sire Show a Heart, Dayita finished off her race full of running to power home and win by a length.
Dayita has the overall record of seven wins and five placings from 23 starts with prizemoney topping $320,000.
Bred by long time Widden Stud client Robert Anderson, Dayita is the first foal of the winning Testa Rossa mare Stellana, who comes from the family of stakes-winners Delgara and Inkster.
Stellana has a two year-old colt by Widden Stud’s promising young sire Dreamscape and is due to foal to Tickets this spring.
