Debut Win for Mokoro
This blue-blooded Redoute’s Choice filly kicked off her career with a debut win a Seymour on Thursday for Cox Plate winning trainer Danny O’Brien.
Mokoro was sent out favourite for the 1209 metre maiden and strode away at the finish to win by two and three-quarter lengths in a dominant display.
Withdrawn from the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, Mokoro was retained to race by her breeders Widden Stud in partnership with Robert and Deborah Anderson.
Mokoro is a sister to stakes-placed Multahem and is the third winner from Earthsea (Fr), a half-sister by Machiavellian to Group I winners Dolphin Street, Insight and Saffron Walden.
Earthsea has a yearling colt by Stratum, but no foal this spring having missed last year.
