First Foals for Stratum Star
Courageous and sound, dual Group I winner Stratum Star went to stud the best son of his sire Stratum and his first foals are now arriving at Widden Stud.
Bred, foaled, raised and sold by Widden Stud, Stratum Star was always going to be a fitting successor for his much loved sire Stratum, who also stood at Widden Stud. Stratum sired 37 stakes-winners including Golden slipper winner Crystal Lily in his first crop, so it was more than fitting that his best son returned to his place of birth to fill the void.
A Group I winner of the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes and Kingston Town Classic, Stratum Star was also Group I placed in the Memsie Stakes, Australian Guineas and Toorak Handicap.
This lovely filly is one of his first arrivals at Widden, out of Essie’s Pride.
Stratum Star was well supported in his first season and stands his second at Widden at a fee of $11,000
