First Sebring Winner in South Africa
An Australian bred three year-old filly by Sebring, Circle of Speed, posted her first win at Clairwood in South Africa on Wednesday.
Placed at two of her four previous wins, the Sean Tarry trained Circle of Speed broke through to win by three-quarters of a length over 1450 metres.
Bred by South African based Klawervlei Stud and foaled and raised at Arrowfield Stud, Circle of Speed is the first winner for triple Group I winner National Colour (SthAf), who was joint South African Horse of the Year in 2005/2006 and was also successful in the UK where she finished second in the Group I Nunthorpe Stakes at Newmarket.
Circle of Speed has the distinction of being the first winner in South Africa for our leading young sire Sebring.
