Inglis Easter Success for Widden

Widden Stud enjoyed great results at the 2016 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale selling 28 yearlings for $6,845,500 across Sessions I and II.

Our top sellers were fittingly by our own sires Sebring and Stratum!

The half-brother by Sebring to Group I winner Shamal Wind sold for $700,000 to John Foote Bloodstock / Darren Weir Racing setting a new benchmark for his sire, while the Stratum full brother to Group II  winner Running Tall was bought by George Moore Bloodstock / Gary Moore Racing for $600,000.

Stratum finished with seven yearlings averaging $245,714, while Sebring had 24 average $238,125.

Our younger sires Star Witness and Your Song also made their mark.

Star Witness had four yearlings average $168,750 headed by the sister to Star Turn that made $300,000 when bought by Shadwell Stud Australia, while Your Song had three average $138,333, his best result a colt from Vonzelle that made $210,000 for Glastonbury Farms when bought by Cameron Cooke Bloodstock.
