International Winners for Stratum

 In 2013

Stratum has been enjoying a red hot season in Australia and also featured at the weekend with two smart winners in South Africa and Hong Kong.

Scoring on debut at Turffontein in South Africa on Saturday was three year-old Stratum filly Right Royal Diva, who overcame an outside gate to win the 1160 metre maiden for the Geoff Woodruff stable by a head.

Right Royal Diva was a $90,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the draft of Widden Stud and is the second winner for Xaarling, a half-sister by Xaar (GB) to stakes-winners Shovhog and Shovoff from Group II winner Startling Lass.

Promising Hong Kong trained four year-old Access Years made it two wins from three starts when scoring for the John Size stable over 1000 metres at Sha Tin on Sunday.

It was an impressive performance for the up and coming sprinter, who raced away to win by more than three lengths in the Class Three event, clocking a tick over 57 seconds.

A $70,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the Amarina Farm draft, Access Years was successfully pinhooked into the NZB Ready to Run Sale where he was purchased for $240,000 by John Foote Bloodstock from the draft of Lyndhurst Farm.

He is one of two winners from Group III winner Hootandance (NZ).
