Moonee Valley Winner for Sebring
Breaking his maiden at Moonee Valley on Friday night was Sebring three year-old Blonic Hill, a $135,000 Inglis Easter purchase from the draft of Widden Stud.
Trained by Pat Hyland and ridden by Michael Walker, Blonic Hill improved on a close last start second at the same venue last month to score a tenacious half head victory over 1200 metres at just his fourth start.
Bred by Kambula Stud, Blonic Hill is the first foal of stakes-winning Danehill Dancer (IRE) mare Danedina, a three-quarter sister to stakes-placed Obsidian Dragon.
Danedina has lost a couple of foals since having Blonic Hill, but did produce a chestnut filly by Stratum this spring.
Blonic Hill is another promising winner for Sebring who is in front of all bar Northern Meteor on the Australian Second Season Sires List by earnings and winners.
