Nicconi Juveniles Come Out Running

 In 2015

Nicconi has had three juvenile runners this season and all have won headed by super promising Group III winning filly Concealer, so is off to a flying start with his two year-olds and a trial winner at Warwick Farm on Thursday promises to add to his success.

Trialling impressively for the Kevin Moses stable was Niccolance, who improved from a second to subsequent metropolitan winner Morton’s Fork at his first trial back in September.

He jumped well for Koby Jennings and rushed forward to be second outside the leader and forged clear of that horse in the final furlong to win his 804 metre trial by the best part of a length.

They ran 47.50 seconds, which was the fastest of four juvenile heats.

A $125,000 Magic Millions purchase for his trainer, Niccolance was bred and offered for sale by Victorian based Burnewang North and was the most expensive yearling sold this year by his sire Nicconi.

Niccolance is from well-bred Lonhro mare Nonchalance, a Darley cast-off bought for $44,000 from the Inglis Broodmare Sale in 2012.

A half-sister to Group I winner Complacent, she is from the family of Group I winners Dracula, Festal, Masked Party, Inspiration and Wandjina.
