Nicconi Moves to Second
The winners keep coming for our young sire Nicconi who has moved to second on the Australian Second Season Sires List by winners following a dominant win on Tuesday for the David Hayes and Tom Dabernig trained filly Kristofferson.
Placed at four of her previous eight runs, it all came together for Kristofferson at Tatura when she forged clear to win over 1000 metres by more than two lengths.
Retained to race by her breeders, Kristofferson is a half-sister to Group III winner Fast ‘n’ Rocking being one of four winners from stakes-winning Hennessy (USA) mare For the Good Times.
Kristofferson is the 24th winner this season for Nicconi, who is second to only I Am Invincible on the score of winners among Australian Second Season Sires (statistics from Arion).
