Stakes-placed Trapeze Artist mare She’s an Artist is lightly raced with loads of upside and brought a touch of class to Warwick Farm on Wednesday when winning the Benchmark 88 event over 1200m.

A last start fifth in the Group III ATC The Nivison, the Ciaron Maher trained mare appreciated a drop in grade to score a dominant two length win.

She was running for fun under Zac Lloyd to win as she pleased as a short priced favourite.

Stakes-placed last year, connections will no doubt be hoping she can convert potential to a stakes win at some point in the future with her overall record now four wins and five placings from 12 starts with prizemoney topping $265,000.

A $175,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Astute Bloodstock Pty Ltd (FBAA) / Ciaron Maher Racing from the draft of Widden Stud, She’s an Artist is a half-sister to stakes-winner Untamed and is the sixth winner from seven to race from well related Fastnet Rock mare She’s a Wildcat.

Bred by the Vieira Group, she comes from a progressive Black Type family as She’s a Wildcat is a sister to Group I winner Foxwedge, stakes-winner She’s a Fox and to the dams of Group winners Bank Maur, Lilac and Namesake.

She’s a Wildcat has foaled this spring producing a full sister to She’s an Artist.

Trapeze Artist had a winning double on Wednesday with Weekend Artist also successful at Eagle Farm.
