“A blisteringly fast son of Sebring, Supido is from the Natalma female line that produced Northern Dancer, Danehill and Machiavellian, but his offspring will be free of Danehill for four generations on the sire’s side of the pedigree making him an outstanding prospect to cross with that line.”

Supido’s grandsire, More Than Ready – a three time Champion Sire of Two-Year-Olds in Australia and the U.S. – has had phenomenal success with Danehill line mares. Supido’s offspring will be free of Danehill at four generations on the sire’s side, and Supido’s granddam is bred very similarly to Danehill, making him an exciting cross for Danehill line mares.

Supido’s own sire, Sebring, is sire of eight stakes winners out of Danehill line mares. This includes two graded stakes winners out of mares by Redoute’s Choice, the sire of Al Samer (who is exceptionally interesting as his dam is a reverse cross to the broodmare sire of Supido, and is from the same female line as Danehill and Subido), Beneteau (who brings in Fairy King, a three-quarters brother to Nureyev, the sire of the granddam of Supido), Bradbury’s Luck, Nadeem (broodmare sire of a Sebring stakes winner), Not A Single Doubt, Snitzel and Stratum (a parallel cross to the dam of Sebring).

Other sons of Danehill to appear as broodmare sires of Sebring stakes winners are Commands (a brother to Danewin), Danzero (bred on the same cross as the dam of Sebring) and Choisir (sire of Starspangledbanner and Mastercraftsman, who is bred on a similar cross to the broodmare sire of Sebring). It would also be possible to bring in Danehill through Al Maher, Blackfriars, Catbird, Danasinga, Dansili, Darci Brahma, Elvstroem, Exceed and Excel, Fastnet Rock, Holy Roman Emperor (a three-quarters brother to the broodmare sire of Sebring), Keeper, Lion Hunter, Oratorio and Rock of Gibraltar.

Danehill is by Danzig, and other broodmare sires from the Danzig line that have produced stakes winners for Sebring are Anabaa – the broodmare sire of Dissident – Belong To Me and Mister C. Supido’s grandsire, More Than Ready has stakes winners out of mares by additional Danzig line horses, Agnes World, Boundary, Lure (whose son, Orpen, would be extremely interesting here, as his dam is a three-quarters sister to the third dam of Supido), Pine Bluff and War Chant.

Sebring has sired four graded stakes winners out of mares by Encosta de Lago, who gives a combination of the three-quarters brothers Nureyev and Fairy King, along with inbreeding to Rolls, dam of Flying Spur and granddam of Encosta de Lago). Sons of Encosta de Lago that could be introduced include Northern Meteor, Manhattan Rain and Delago Brom. Encosta de Lago is by Fairy King, and Sebring has a stakes winner from a mare by that horse’s son, Shinko King, which also suggests Helissio and Falbrav.

From the sire line of Sadler’s Wells, a brother to Fairy King, Sebring is sire of a graded stakes winner out of a mare by King’s Chapel (by Sadler’s Wells son, King of Kings, himself broodmare sire of of a More Than Ready grade one winner). From this line More Than Ready sired Champion Two-Year-Old Phelan Ready out a mare by Blevic (by Scenic), and there are also More Than Ready graded winners out of mares by Sadler’s Wells horses Montjeu and Fort Wood. Other sources of Sadler’s Wells would include Singspiel; Galileo (sire of Teofilo and New Approach); High Chaparral (sire of So You Think); and Barathea (sire of Tobboug).

From the Storm Cat branch of Northern Dancer, Sebring has stakes winners out of mares by Hennessy (sire of Johannesburg, and grandsire of Turffontein and Scat Daddy) and Tale of the Cat. More Than Ready has a grade one winner out of a mare by Storm Cat son, Giant’s Causeway (sire of Shamardal; grandsire of Lope de Vega, who is inbred to Machiavellian, a reverse Mr. Prospector/Halo cross to More Than Ready), and another Australian source of Storm Cat is Catrail. Still with descendents of Northern Dancer, there is a More Than Ready stakes winner out of a mare by Last Tycoon, and a Sebring stakes winner from a mare by that horse’s son, Iglesia (sire of Written Tycoon).

Out of mares from the Mr. Prospector line, Sebring has grade one winner Lucky Bubbles out of a mare by Hussonet, and grade one winner Egg Tart out of a mare by King’s Best, by Kingmambo (also sire of Dubai Destination). There is also a graded stakes winner by Sebring out of a mare by Hawk Wing (a son of Woodman, the broodmare sire of More Than Ready), suggesting daughters of Hector Protector and Timber Country. There are also stakes winners by Sebring out of out mares by Dubawi and Street Cry (sire of Street Sense and Street Boss), a son of Machiavellian, also sire of Vettori, Almutawakel and No Excuse Needed.

More Than Ready has done well with a number of other branches of Mr. Prospector. He has ten stakes winners out of mares by Gone West line stallions, including a Champion out of a mare by Elusive Quality (sire of Sepoy and Elusive City), and stakes winners out of mares by Grand Slam, Mr. Greeley and Zafonic (sire of Xaar). There are More Than Ready graded stakes winners out of mares by the similarly-bred Distorted Humor and Fusaichi Pegasus. The cross of More Than Ready with mares by Unbridled’s Song has produced five stakes winners, four graded, and there is a stakes winner by More Than Ready out of a mare by Thunder Gulch.

Sebring has four stakes winners out of Sir Tristram line mares, including graded winner Gold Standard out of a mare by Greig (a son of Grosvenor) and graded winner Hattori Hanzo out of a mare by Marauding. From the Zabeel branch, he also has a stakes winner by Zabeel himself, and a stakes winner out of a mare by that horse’s son, Octagonal. Other sources of Zabeel include Savabeel, Don Eduardo, Reset, and Lonhro and his sons, Pierro and Denman.

Sebring also sired Criterion out of a mare by Bite The Bullet, a three-quarters brother to Spectacular Spy; and has stakes winners out of mares by Metal Storm (by Kenmare also sire of Kenfair, Kenvain and Keltrice) and Rory’s Jester.
