Star Thoroughbreds Celebrate a Sebring Winner
Those familiar purple and white Star Thoroughbreds colours were carried to victory in the Golden Slipper by former star colt Sebring and they featured at Kembla on Tuesday aboard one of his offspring in promising filly She’s Bella.
Placed at three of her four previous starts, the Gai Waterhouse trained She’s Bella was resuming from a spell and gave nothing else a chance in scooting clear to win the 1000 metre maiden by three and a half lengths as a short priced favourite.
A $150,000 Magic Millions purchase for Star Thoroughbreds from the draft of Glenlogan Park, She’s Bella is a half-sister to multiple Group II winner Love Conquers All and stakes-winner She’s Meaner being the fifth winner for Group I Avondale Gold Cup winner She’s a Meanie.
She’s Bella is the eighth winner since the start of the new season for Sebring, who is fully booked this spring.
