Strong Easter Results for Sebring and Northern Meteor
The leading Australian first season sire by winners including three individual stakes-winners, Golden Slipper winner Sebring enjoyed strong results at the 2013 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale where his stock sold for up to $300,000.
Top seller for Sebring was a filly from Group III winning Redoute’s Choice mare Tahni Girl that made $300,000 for Tyreel Stud when bought by McDonald Racing / Ferrari Racing, while not far behind was the half-brother to stakes-winner Mahisara from Darsini that made $280,000 for Kia Ora Stud when secured by Moody Racing.
Other good results for Sebring were fillies from Anabarbarian and Porto Cervo that were both offered by Widden Stud and fetched $240,000 and $200,000 respectively.
Sebring had a total of seven yearlings sell at an average $199,286.
Group I winning sprinter Northern Meteor has had a productive week with a winning double on Wednesday courtesy of Equator and The Voice combined with solid results in the sale ring.
He had nine yearlings average $93,333, his top seller a colt from Fondle that made $210,000 for Attunga Stud when purchased by Shadwell Australia and the half-brother to Group II winner Fast Clip that made $190,000 for Turangga Farm when bought by Hong Kong trainer Ricky Yiu.
Sebring also had five further yearlings sell during Session II for up to $130,000 and Northern Meteor had three sell in that part of the sale including a colt from Danehill Lass that made $210,000 for Luskin Park Stud.
