Talented Trapeze Artist Gelding Returns a Winner!
Winner of the Group III ATC Carbine Club Stakes last autumn as a colt, talented Trapeze Artist four year-old Ducasse returned to the races as a gelding at Rosehill on Saturday and quickly found his best form to win the Benchmark 100 event over 1400m.
Trained by Michael Freedman, Ducasse was last seen finishing fifth in the $3million Big Dance won by Gringotts last November, but was spelled and gelded after that and primed for a good run with two recent trials under his belt.
He let down with a good finish for Tim Clark to win by a neck taking his overall record to four wins from 18 starts with prizemoney topping $610,000 and Clark believes more wins are in store.

He is a half-brother to Group III winner Serene Majesty, stakes-winner Curdled plus two more stakes horses from terrific producing Lonhro stakes-winner Custard.
A half-sister to stakes-winner Russian Caravan, Custard has had seven foals for six winners and five have gained Black Type!
Segenhoe will offer the yearling filly from Custard by Zoustar at Inglis Easter as Lot 336.
