Widden Magic Yearlings on Show

It’s full steam ahead for the 2013 Magic Millions Yearling Sale on the Gold Coast with Widden Stud set to present a stunning draft of 36 yearlings, whose photos are now available for viewing.

Widden Stud had the honour of selling 2012 Magic Millions heroine Driefontein at the sale in 2011, with Denise Martin’s Star Thoroughbreds snapping up the daughter of Fastnet Rock for $75,000.

She has since won four races and $1.4 million in prizemoney for her lucky group of owners and judging on her recent brilliant barrier trial win at Randwick there are many more wins in store.

“Our current draft of yearlings are five weeks into their preparation and progressing really well, although we expect even further improvement in these last weeks as we work towards the sale,” said Antony Thompson.

“We have five yearlings by our first season sire Nicconi and they are absolutely outstanding, so we can’t wait for buyers to see them.”
