Widden Premier Success
Widden Stud finished as the third leading vendor at Inglis Premier Book 1 this week selling 24 yearlings for $2,955,000.
Victorian based Nicconi gave us our best result with his colt from Valentine Miss selling for $260,000 to Kennewell Racing / Group 1 Bloodstock (FBAA) / M Houldsworth.
A brilliant Group III winning mare by Danetime (IRE), Valentine Miss has had three foals to race all winners headed by stakes-placed Mozzie Monster and this colt was also the top seller at the sale for his sire Nicconi.
Our second highest priced yearling was an attractive chestnut Written By colt from Queen’s Fashion that was bought by the James Harron Bloodstock Colts Partnership for $240,000.
Written By had a terrific sale with six yearlings averaging $170,000 headed by his highlight colt from Holy Cow that sold for $410,000.
Trapeze Artist has seven yearlings sell with six of them selling for $100,000 or more highlighted by his Widden Stud consigned filly from She’s a Wildcat that made $175,000 to the bid of Astute Bloodstock Pty Ltd (FBAA) / Ciaron Maher Racing.
