Widden Yearlings Hit the Mark
Gold Coast – Widden Stud finished as the sixth leading vendor by aggregate at the 2013 Magic Millions Yearling Sale after selling 20 youngsters in Sessions One to Four for $2,505,000.
The Widden consigned yearlings went to wide variety of buyers with the best result achieved by a Commands colt from proven stakes producer Demanding that fetched $250,000 to the bid of David Raphael on behalf of a Hong Kong based buyer.
Laurel Oak Bloodstock paid $250,000 for the first foal of dual Group I winner Zarita (NZ), a colt by champion sire Fastnet Rock.
Widden Stud also had the honour of selling the top priced lot in Session Five on Sunday with a colt by Real Saga from Maxy Legs fetching $240,000 to the bid of RMA Bloodstock.
