Zoustar Colt Goes Two for Two

A debut winner at Wyong last month, Zoustar colt Battleton stepped straight into metro company at Warwick Farm on Monday and showed an impressive will to win.

Trained by Bjorn Baker, Battleton settled behind the leaders for Jason Collett and was very strong over the final 100m to hunt down the leaders and win the 1100m Benchmark 68 event by half a neck.

A $300,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Widden Stud draft for Bjorn Baker Racing/Clarke Bloodstock, Battleton was bred by Qatar Bloodstock,

Battleton is the first foal from Dulverton, a good metro winning half-sister to Group I winner Warhorse and to the dam of Group III winner Zee Falls.

Dulverton was covered last spring by Zoustar’s brilliant Group II winning son Zousain, who stands alongside his sire at Widden Stud.

Zoustar is priced at $154,000 and Zousain at $19,800 with his first foals on the ground this spring.
