Gosford Double for Sebring
Golden Slipper winner Sebring featured at Gosford on Thursday with a pair of new three year-old winners in Rhamdani and Seritza.
The Chris Waller trained gelding Rhamdani saluted on debut in the 1200 metre maiden, forging clear to win by a length.
A $130,000 Magic Millions purchase for Waller from the Turangga Farm draft, Rhamdani runs for a syndicate that includes Richard and Kay Callander as well as John Singleton, Max Whitby and Wilf Mula.
Rhamdani is the second winner for Group II winner Hidden Strings.
Making it a double was the Gerald Ryan trained filly Seritza, who broke through after five previous seconds!
She gave her big Triple Crown Syndications group of owners something to cheer about when she snatched a narrow short head win in the 1200 metre maiden as a hot favourite.
A $115,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Triple Crown from the Supreme Thoroughbreds draft, Seritza is the first winner for Starlevie, a half-sister by Fasliyev (USA) to stakes-placed Palace Glow, the dam of Group III winners Red Colossus and Nediym’s Glow.
Sebring has eight yearlings catalogued for Inglis Classic this weekend.
