First Foal for Zoustar
Both Widden Stud and Woodside Park are celebrating the arrival of the first foal by brilliant dual Group I winner of the ATC Golden Rose and VRC Coolmore Stud Stakes, our exciting stallion Zoustar.
Zoustar is the best performed son of Northern Meteor to go to stud and his first foals will be arriving in abundance this spring.
This gorgeous bay colt born at leading Hunter Valley boutique nursery Edinglassie for his breeder Richard Pegum is the third foal of globetrotting import Pasar Silbano (IRE), a Group III winner in the US at Santa Anita and a Listed winner in Ireland.
Her first two foals are by champion sire Redoute’s Choice, sire of the dam of Zoustar, so this well credentialed young mare is being given every chance to succeed.
“He is a really nice foal, correct with plenty of substance,” said Mick Talty of Edinglassie.
“Am glad I like what I see as we have a couple of our best mares in foal to him.” Edinglassie are also home to potential Broodmare of the Year Listen Here who is also in foal to Zoustar.
Covered on September 1 last year, Pasar Silbano was one of the very first of 185 mares served by Zoustar, who is now at Woodside Park Stud in Victoria getting ready for his second season, priced again at $44,000.
Zoustar will return to Widden Stud in 2016.
