Another Success for Bonaria
Blue-blooded Redoute’s Choice mare Bonaria was foaled and raised at Widden Stud for her owner breeders Robert and Deborah Anderson and provided another great result for them when scoring her third Black Type victory when taking out the Group III VRC Schweppes Trophy at Flemington on Saturday.
The Pat Hyland trained five year-old finished with a powerful surge to take the 1600 metre contest by a length, her overall record now seven wins and nine placings from 32 starts with prizemoney of $579,109.
Bred and retained to race by Mr and Mrs Anderson, Bonaria is a half-sister to Group III winners Time Out and Legally Bay being one of six winners from the good producing Last Tycoon (IRE) mare Decidity, who has a yearling filly by Stratum and is now back in foal to the same sire.
