Debut Win for $1.3million Inglis Easter Colt
A $1.3million Inglis Easter purchase for Yulong, I Am Invincible colt Lough Eske was easy in the market, but made a winning debut at Newcastle on Thursday.
Trained by Chris Waller and ridden by Lee Magorrian, Lough Eske had four previous trials performing best in the most recent and produced a determined finish to outgun the favourite Cold Brew and win the 1200m maiden by half a length.

Bred by Widden in partnership and offered in their draft at Inglis Easter, Lough Ekse was their equal highest priced yearling sold at that sale and is a half-brother to stakes-placed Basquiat, who topped the 2021 Magic Millions Yearling Sale when selling for $1.9 million.
He is the second winner from stakes-winning O’Reilly mare Bonny O’Reilly (NZ), a full sister to the dam of Group I winner Espiona.
Bonny O’Reilly has an unraced Snitzel two year-old colt called Celtic Brave and a yearling filly by I Am Invincible, who is her last foal as she passed away earlier this year.
