Eight Winners for Your Song
Australia’s leading first season sire by winners, Widden Stud’s Your Song added another to the tally when Jolie Rose blitzed the opposition at Murray Bridge on Wednesday to win as she pleased.
Trained on the track by Michael Hickmott, Jolie Rose had placed at four of her five previous runs so was overdue for the win.
She zoomed right away at the finish to win the 1200 metre sprint by five and a half lengths.
A $20,000 Inglis Classic purchase from the Kenmore Lodge draft, Jolie Rose is a half-sister to Group III placed Let Go Lenni and is the second winner for Peintre Celebre (USA) mare Celebrity Rose.
A full brother to Jolie Rose was sold at Inglis Classic this year for $38,000 and he is the last foal of his dam who died last year.
Jolie Rose is the eighth winner for Your Song, who stands at Widden Stud at a fee of $22,000.
