Impressive Win for Le Chef

The juvenile maiden at Ipswich on Christmas Eve was won in impressive style by Exceed and Excel gelding Le Chef, a $120,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Widden draft.

Fifth on debut to Magic Millions 2YO Classic favourite Wicked Intent last month when slowly away, the Darryl Hansen trained youngster made no mistakes this time in bolting away to win the 1100 metre dash by four and a half lengths.

Le Chef is the third winner from three foals to race from Group I placed Testa Rossa mare Red for Lou.
