Sebring Chosen for Black Caviar

Widden Stud are delighted that Golden Slipper winner Sebring has been selected as the second mate for unbeaten world champion Black Caviar.

On September 12, Black Caviar gave birth to her first foal, a stunning bay filly by Exceed And Excel.

Connections of the mare sought advice from a multitude of sources, including the mare’s former trainer Peter Moody, before settling on our exciting young sire.

Since commencing stud duties in 2009, Sebring has made a bright start to his stallion career producing a wide array of stakes winners from 1000 metres up to 2400 metres.

In total, Sebring has sired 10 stakes-winners led by three-time Group I winner Dissident and dual Group I winner Criterion.

The son of More Than Ready is fully booked this season at a fee of $60,500.
