Sebring Colt Stars on Day One at Ready to Run
Sebring had the highest priced offering during the first session of the NZB Ready to Run Sale of Two Year Olds at Karaka on Wednesday with a colt from Brilliant Jewel selling for $340,000.
Consigned for sale by Prima Park, the colt was bought by Mauro Poletti and Amanda Turner, who had a winning double at Rosehill last Saturday with two Sebring horses they had bought previously at this sale in More to Gain and Bring Luck.
The colt was knocked down to NZB’s Danny Rolston who was bidding on behalf of Poletti.
“He was Mauro and Mandy’s top pick from the Breeze Up videos,” commented Rolston.
“They love the stallion and he inspected super. They are great supporters of the Sale and have had success of late.”
The star colt was a successful pinhook having been bought by Paul Willetts for $150,000 at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale from the Tarcoola Stud draft.
From stakes-placed Danzero mare Brilliant Jewel, he comes from the family of stakes-winners such as Vionnet, Cheverny, Fashion News and Academe.
