Second Aussie Winner for War Pass
Our ill-fated shuttle sire War Pass (USA) registered his second Australian winner at Ascot in Perth on Wednesday when Trichologist saluted at her second start.
Improving off a debut second, the Steve Wolfe trained filly raced up on the pace and scored a short neck win in the 1100 metre contest.
Trichologist was a $20,000 purchase for Commercial Bloodstock from the Holbrook Thoroughbreds draft at the 2012 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and is the fourth winner from four foals to race for metropolitan winning Catrail (USA) mare Foscat.
An undefeated Champion Juvenile in the US, War Pass stood for just two seasons in Australia before his premature death in Kentucky in 2010 and his last Australian yearlings will be offered at the sales next year.
