Slipper Winner for a Slipper Winner?

Golden Slipper winner Sebring has big representation for the 2016 Golden Slipper to be run at Rosehill next year with 77 entries among the 2006 nominations that were released by the ATC this week.

Among the Sebring entries are siblings to his past Slipper contenders Bring Me the Maid (third in 2014) and Believe Yourself (fourth in 2014), while his most expensive yearling in 2015, a colt from Sayahailmary that made $650,000 at Inglis Easter has been nominated by Snowden Racing.

Gai Waterhouse, who trained Sebring to Golden Slipper glory has nominated four of his offspring, while arguably Sebring’s biggest fan Peter Moody has nominated seven.

The final yearlings by Northern Meteor may well go out in a blaze of glory with 62 Slipper nominations and our other Golden Slipper winner Stratum has 33.

Young gun Star Witness has 23 entries from his second crop of two year-olds.
