New Juvenile Stakes-Winner for Lucky Owners
He might not be the most commercial sire on our roster, but Lucky Owners made his mark at Eagle Farm on Saturday when two year-old gelding Lucky Tom snared his first Black Type success in the Listed BRC The Phoenix.
Trained by Harold Norman at the Gold Coast, Lucky Tom was unfancied by punters, but led throughout to score a dominant three length win in the 1400 metre contest.
Retained to race by his breeders, Lucky Tom has had two wins and a placing from five starts earning over $75,000 in prizemoney.
The second juvenile stakes-winner this season for Lucky Owners joining Alpha Miss, Lucky Tom is the second winner for Tattyam, a winning half-sister by Yamanin Vital to Group III winner Thomas James.
Lucky Tom is the sixth stakes-winner for Champion HK Miler Lucky Owners, who stands this spring at a fee of $6,600.
